Art at Luston and Shobdon

 Art Lead: Briley Hurley

We believe that Art plays an important role in increasing our children’s social and emotional well-being as well as allowing their creativity to shine.

Activities and themes for Art work are closely linked to the whole school curriculum overview. We have tried to establish cross curricular links with topic work covered in class as well as making sure National Curriculum skills in Art are closely embedded in work carried out in lessons in each of the key stages.

“A high-quality art and design education should engage, inspire and challenge pupils, equipping them with the knowledge and skills to experiment, invent and create their own works of art, craft and design.” National Curriculum 2014"
